It is a pleasure to meet you, my name is Raine O’Tierney!

I have been writing for a very long time—but this is my first foray into publication. I started writing m/m back in 2004 after I got into yaoi. (Some people love it, some people hate it. For me it was a gateway drug, and the only thing that satisfied the craving for MORE was to start creating m/m myself!)

I am the exact opposite of ‘afraid of the camera’ and I am obsessed with tiny hats, looking goofy, filters, and taking pictures at work. I have also been known to photobomb, when the opportunity arises. Continue reading →

Waiting for the light to change so I could cross, I stared at the row of dilapidated houses—some with porches newly painted bright colors, others, lacking hope, were shrouded in their original dusty brick and crumbling brownstone—all squeezed together and leaning to the left as if in defiance of the hill on which they sat, which leaned to the right.

The light changed and I hurried across the street. I was practically shaking with fright and excitement. Tonight, I would ask Sahel to marry me. My nerves were as jangly as the wind chimes on the porch. The ring in my pocket seemed to be burning a hole in my pocket.

Rodric opened his mouth to protest but no words came out. He shuddered as he recalled the heart wrenching desperation he had gone through just thinking that he had never found Fergus. It was time he came to grip with reality. Clearing his throat, he glanced down at the weather-beaten map in his hand.

Rose winced, unfolding herself from the ball that she worked herself into sometime during the night. She sat up stretching, joints aching, popping, her back screaming from spending the night on the hard wooden floor. I am fairly new to professional writing – less than a year, at this point.  Choices was my first published novel, my first truly professional endeavor.  I’ve self-pubbed one story before that and since, I’ve added a second novel in the Golden Collar series, a free short and a piece in the Advent Calendar.  The rest of my writing started out as fanfiction, which I’d been doing for some four years before Choices was published.
