Buy One, Get Two and Three, Chapter 42, by Carol Pedroso

Daniel sighed when the door opened to admit Kevin again. He’d thought he would get longer to regroup and think up a new set of plans. But, that’s life. He was about to make some comment when another man joined Kevin.

The hair was different and the face was thinner, but those eyes. He would never forget those eyes.

“You,” Daniel snarled.

“Yes, me,” the man drawled. “I believe we have unfinished business, Silas.”

Daniel froze then flicked a glance at Kevin. One look at the man’s sickly expression and, yep, Daniel realized the old man had once again gotten them mixed up.

Moving Forward #67 (16.3) by Julie Lynn Hayes

The first thing Marshall noticed was that Roy’s living room was crowded with people, all of whom he recognized. Milly from the diner. Kelly from the grocery store.  Jose and his son, who owned the bait shop. The mayor. Their neighbors, Sarah and Craig Ferguson. And the guys they hung out with at Partners—Rye and Slim.

What in the world was going on here? And where did these folding chairs come from?

Double Trouble: Chapter 98 by Jon Keys
It didn’t take long before the four of them were headed down the midway. After having been camped at fairground for the better part of a week, they knew where everything was, from food to thrill rides. Danny, who was always hungry, had forced everyone to stop at his favorite food vender. The four boys ate their fill while Samantha stood and rolled her eyes.
Danny was fairly sure Levi was dragging things out until Samantha’s patience wore thin. He wanted to pull him to the side and ask if he was sure he wanted to mess with Samantha’s temper. But he had no desire to face Samantha in her raging bitch role. It was frighten and he had to live in the same house. It wouldn’t go well. So instead he embraced his job as tour guide and started through the games and rides.

Mine! Part Two: Chapter One by Cia Nordwell

I shoved another shirt in the spare bag. We really needed to stop at a store somewhere so Ritch could run in and grab some clothes. He couldn’t wear mine forever, though I liked seeing him in my clothes. I hadn’t been even remotely subtle about my interest and need to protect Ritch. That was probably why Deke had accepted him, even while he was on edge after just mating Kraig.

With everything going on, though, it wasn’t the time to say anything to Ritch. He’d been abused, used in the worst way by people who should’ve protected him, and

Waterlord Prequel: Part 6 by Ravon Silvius
“Tom? Tom, you lazy idiot, get up! …Tom?”

Tom tried to open his eyes, but he couldn’t. He felt too weak. The voice faded in and out, and he couldn’t place it. For some reason, he thought it was Nathan’s fault. Nathan had put him out in the cold, in the rain…

Tom coughed, and suddenly he started shaking. His body seemed to be devoid of any heat, and his muscles clenched and unclenched. He could barely feel his blankets covering him.
