Ancalagon: Chapter Seventy-two by Cia Nordwell

The dark green markings on his body framed his face and graced his neck and shoulders. Some curved down across his chest and others curled over his belly and hips. I reached up and touched the edge of one over his hip where it pointed straight toward his straining shaft.

That bobbed, the gravity pulling it down after the muscles in Garjah’s abdomen rippled at my touch. He pulled in a quick breath and shuffled closer. I closed my hand around his shaft, feeling the supple softeness around the rock hard core.

Garjah growled and froze.

“Is the door sealed?”

The Garret Farm: Part 17 by J Ray Lamb

Sandy slept fitfully in Trent’s spare bedroom. He was anxious about the car, about being in Trent’s house, the whole frat situation, and honestly, already working on the livestock situation here on the farm.

He woke up about 5:30am and stumbled to the bathroom, relieved himself, and went back to the spare bedroom. The house was warm so he decided against getting dressed. As he stood looking at his clothes, he caught the whiff of coffee brewing.

Heading for the kitchen, he bumped into Trent coming out of his bedroom.

“Ope, sorry Trent!” Sandy stammered as he felt a jolt

It was time to cut out the bureaucracy, and I didn’t have much tact to start off with. Garjah actually seemed to do better with his people’s politics than I did with the jockeying for favor and positions I’d faced within the Institute, but he wasn’t experienced enough to deal with these people.

Officious oafs were going to just get in the way.

“We appreciate that you have encountered a race that may have a claim to Ardra, and that we have much to learn. Rushing does not benefit anyone, however.” Dr. Margo spoke and my mother nodded her agreement.

Garret Farm: Part 15 by J Ray Lamb

Trent took a deep breath and tried to refocus on the office around him. He’d not gotten off like that since he was a teenager and there was a mess everywhere. He was gonna have to wash down his desk, the tile floor, his laptop, and most of all, himself.

I can’t believe I still managed to get that much on me considering how much is all over the desk and computer.

It had been about an hour since he’d headed downstairs. He’d not heard the front door close or Garret coming down the stairs. Garret’s knock startled him…

Ancalagon: Chapter Sixty-eight by Cia Nordwell

The rest of the team was ushered about their business while Dr. Vikrish, Soldier One, and two of his lackeys ushered us into their shuttle and further through the corridors toward the control center. We made an interesting parade for those crew who’d stayed behind. Dr. Vikrish lead the way, a soldier behind him and in front of us. Garjah and I were clearly newcomers on a planet reported to be unoccupied, and a wild animal with a lethal gait and roving gaze prowled at my hip. Soldier One and another soldier brought up the rear behind us.

That made

Rose and Thorne #6 by Julie Lynn Hayes

“Vinny, have you ever thought about having kids?”

I had just taken a blissfully large sip of my morning brew. The warm caffeinated liquid barely had time to connect to my taste buds when my lover’s words struck me. I damn near did a spit take all over my breakfast at Ethan’s question. What the fuck? Where had that come from? Did it have anything to do with the visit of Ethan’s sister Sarah and her son Alex, who’d just recently turned three?

And if so, what did this portend?

I told myself to calm down

Ancalagon: Chapter Sixty-six by Cia Nordwell

Garjah insisted on going out first, even though I was sure it was a bad idea. He was equally sure being faced with a human who didn’t look exactly human would bother them more.

“What are you waiting for? Come out! All four hands up, if you have four.”

“We are not a threat to you. Stay calm. We are coming out.” Garjah squeezed my shoulder. “Keep Bouncer calm. Maybe we should have sedated him.”

“No, it’s not good for him.” The cerops was leaning against my thigh, and I could practically feel him vibrate, but I felt shaky myself.

Garret Farm: Part 13 by J Ray Lamb

Sandy picked up the NDA from the table and read through it.

Standard stuff here – he thought as he read it.

It wasn’t until he got to the ‘Remedies and Enforcement’ section that he stopped and realized this was far from a standard contract. It was considered valid until his death and enforcement for violation included a public accounting of all of his actions while employed on the farm and all of his assets up to and including his person.

What the fuck is going on out here?! – he was curious but he wasn’t sure he was that curious.

The Garret Farm: Part 12 by J Ray Lamb

Dinner was over and the five men sat around the table talking about the farm and what Sandy could expect if he was brought on as an intern.

Jason and Garret were sure he would work out just fine but Trent wasn’t sold on him yet. Trent had also noted the expensive electric sports car that Sandy was driving and it didn’t fit with someone who wanted to go into animal husbandry and ag management.

What was silently hanging over the conversation was the extra-curricular activities that happened on the farm without warning and without regard for who was around.

Ancalagon: Chapter Sixty-three by Cia Nordwell

“Where did Bouncer go?” Sedating him again had not made him happy. He’d been so close to me for the last few days, his steady presence against my thigh, it was startling for him to be gone. I’d gotten a narrow-eyed stare when he lifted his head after we touched down and I revived him from the sedation, but this was the first time I’d lost sight of him.

“He’s outside.” Garjah peered out the door of the skimmer. A vine slithered over the metal and dropped into the space, and he brushed it aside. “Pacing.”

I didn’t blame him.
