I wondered if maybe Ethan would change his mind about this proposed road trip the next morning, in the cold hard light of day. But I guess his anger with James hadn’t abated overnight, so at eight AM we were all up, packing our bags into the car and getting ready to head out for Georgia. I’d never appreciate the luggage rack on top of the car before, but I surely did now.
We dropped Benny off with Brendan, along with his assorted toys and food. Of course introductions were in order, but we kept them as brief as we could without appearing rude, but Brendan understood we needed to get on the road as soon as possible. He was just tickled to meet little Alex and oohed and aahed over him as much as he could.
