Kitryn padded slowly through the dark, his paws silent on the gravel path. Simon was leading a team of vampires with Carl and Kitryn was trying to ignore the irritation of being separate from his mate when they were heading toward trouble.

The bears behind him grumbled and Kitryn hissed quietly, letting them know to be quiet. The wards concealing them would be a waste of time if they made too much noise and gave themselves away.

They made their way forward. Towards a house that had been somehow built in the middle of nowhere.

Adrift: Chapter 64 by J. Alan Veerkamp

Several scans to test the integrity of Pakko’s patch on the hull were performed before Arad overrode the emergency protocols to reestablish the atmosphere and drop the bulkhead separating them from the engine room.

Balling up a fist, Pakko gave Arad a gentle tap on the shoulder. “Told ya the weld would hold.”

“I’ve already seen people blown out into space. I’m not looking to for a repeat.” Arad shuddered.

“I hear that.”

The rupture hadn’t been large, but ragged lines in the metal webbed where the air violently escaped after the shot. The breach was sealed, but Pakko planned to weld additional layers from the inside as insurance.

Here Kitty Kitty: Chapter 23.4 by Carol Pedroso

Tristan winced at the sharp sting as Carl’s claw cut into his palm. He quickly held his hand over the bowl and four drops of bright red blood fell in before the cut magically sealed itself.

“Chant and keep chanting until I tell you to stop,” Nev murmured into Tristan’s ear. Tristan nodded and began the chant.

The rush of power that rushed through him almost made him falter but he managed to stay on track and not miss a word.
