Within minutes of Aiden sending a text, Deacon and Keanu were knocking at the door.

“Sorry to wake you,” Ryan apologized, out of habit, once they entered the room.

“Not a problem,” Deacon assured him. “This is way more important than sleep.”

“Not that we were asleep,” Keanu added with a knowing wink.

“Thanks for coming so quickly, guys,” Aiden said. He filled in the two men on what was happening, both the situation with Ben and the one with Abby and Cameron. “That’s why we need the van,” he finished. “We need to find Ben as soon as possible.”

Here Kitty Kitty: Chapter 24.2 by Carol Pedroso

“Kitty. Simmie. Fran need you.”

Peter’s yelling brought the meeting to an abrupt end. Kitryn jumped up and was only beaten to the door by Simon because of his damn vampire speed.

He reached the doorway to see Peter in Simon’s arms talking so fast his words ere running over each other.

“Fran said find you. She say mama want you. You got to hurry. She say not long.”

“Okay, calm down. Deep breath.” Simon spoke softly in Peter’s ear. “Now, is Fran in her room?”

Adrift: Chapter 63 by J. Alan Veerkamp

Familiar heartbeat chimes echoed off the cargo bay’s walls. Shirt hem bunched in his hand, Arad wiped a barely-there layer of dust off the cryotube. Hachi slumbered, big bull face pressed against the plexiglass, floating unaware of Arad’s care in the early hour. And it was indeed early. Arad forced his voice to a whisper, despite how he couldn’t really disturb any DemiShou present.

“I’ve been a little busy lately, but we haven’t forgotten you guys.”

Still naked from bed, Roku burst into the room, exhaling in relief as he locked eyes with Arad. “There you are. I woke up and you were gone.”
