“Well, bearing young does not have to mean a female gender in all species, but it is the most common expression of gender identity for bearing species. She seems to be using your DNA and hers to create them, and you are male. I scanned the eggs and they show your distinct genetic make-up as well as hers, which is quite unique, as you know.” Aparoe turned and sat on a pile of rocks not far from the pool.

“You didn’t harm one of them to find that out, did you?” I asked, my stomach roiling at the thought

No. He was not giving up. Not now. Not after all he’d been through. Roku needed him, and he needed Roku.

But the real question: How could he fix this?

Arad needed to cancel his momentum and generate new thrust. How? What did he have to do anything of the sort? Releasing air through a small hole in the suit could push him in the right direction, but he had no way to seal it again and who knows if he had enough oxygen to last until he reached the Ansariland.

Think, Arad, think.

It all started from stomping the circuit board.

In Pieces #56 (14.1) by Julie Lynn Hayes

As the afternoon progressed, Ryan was enjoying the drive so much that he almost hated to see it end. He’d offered to take the wheel for Aiden, but Aiden had graciously declined his proposal with a knowing look, telling him to just sit back and relax. So Ryan and Ben had done just that. They kissed and cuddled in the backseat and listened to the soft jazz that flowed through the car’s speakers, not saying much. But every touch spoke volumes.

At one point, Abby turned around from the front seat to face them, phone in hand.  She wore a mischievous grin as she regarded them. “Want me to take a picture of you guys for the book? Just the way you are now? Ryan can add it to his love on the road chapter.” She winked at them. Ryan had to laugh in spite of himself.
