Bran turned and pushed Owen gently onto his back. “I want to see your button,” he said, then proceeded to stroke his long fingers across Owen’s stomach, dipping into his belly button. “I love it.”
Owen moaned when Bran replaced his fingers with his tongue and lapped gently at the dimple. He stroked Bran’s hair, fighting the temptation to push his head a little lower.

Simon drew in a deep breath and leaned more firmly into Kitryn before starting his story.
“My family lived in one of those cult communes that humans like to create. You know the sort. A group of people who don’t agree with government policy and think that technology is damaging the environment. The commune was self-sufficient to a certain degree and had a business making handmade goods to sell at a nearby market.
“The leader, Frank, ran the place with an iron fist. Everyone was expected to work, no matter their age. There was no school for the children.

“It’s about time,” Keanu muttered.
Ryan shot an anxious glance at Ben, afraid of what his reaction might be. He braced himself for another show of dominance, or at the very least a scathing retort. But Ben ignored Keanu’s words entirely. His good humor seemed to have been completely restored. Keanu’s boyfriend spoke instead.
“Come on, you. Quit grumbling and show our author what magic you can make on the keyboard.” Deacon pulled Keanu into a brief hug, gently stroked his hair. As Ryan watched, Keanu’s face visibly relaxed, his scowl disappearing. They clung together for a moment, before heading up on the stage. Abby and Aiden were already in place.

I watched everything. I wanted to ask questions, but once Captain issued his orders, the crew moved very quickly. We approached the central planet, and I couldn’t help but wonder at what was coming. Would we succeed?
